Academic Transfer Specialist

General Summary: The Academic Transfer Specialist (ATC) is an integral part of the Enrollment Service team who is primarily responsible for all transfer processes for students entering SKC with prior credits to be transferred or those matriculating out to graduate or other programs. This requires course level screening through collaboration with faculty and staff, as well as consultation with academic departments regarding transfer requirements for all articulation agreements. Additionally, the ATC
1) represents the SKC Registrars Team at meetings related to articulation as requested;
2) assists the Registrars team with conveying accurate information regarding general admission, transfer requirements, and other essential information to prospective, current, and returning students; and
3) participates in collecting, verifying, recording, and reporting data for the Registrar including but not limited to National Student Clearinghouse data, transcripts, and annual plans. Cross training with other enrollment services (Financial Aid and Admissions) will be required to fully support transfer students? needs. The ATC will support college activities, committees, and professional development appropriate to the position. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree and/or 2 years of experience working in an enrollment service department. Demonstrated knowledge of transfer and articulation processes. Experience using computers for data entry, record keeping, data management and reporting. Ability to maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Ability to interpret and apply policies and regulations in a complex college setting.
