General Description:

Design, implement, and maintain the Valent business applications landscape. Ensure key business applications like Ariba, SAP S/4 ERP, and Salesforce comply with SoX regulations. Closely collaborate with Valent business and IT stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient, compliant, and secure application solutions. Execute the business applications rationalization roadmap to maximize the benefits and value of digital applications to Valents business. Lead key business problem-solving initiatives and steer solution architecting and deployment activities. Collaborate with business and IT teams to promote digital application adoption and ensure they deliver business value.

Principle Responsibilities:

Ensure Valent’s key business applications (Ariba, SAP S/4 ERP, and Salesforce) are compliant with J-SoX requirements

Manage the security and compliance operations for SAP S/4 and SAP Ariba systems.

Lead the design and architecture of business applications, ensuring alignment with business goals, standards, and best practices.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical solutions.

Execute and maintain the business application architecture simplification roadmap, incorporating emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Provide technical guidance and oversight to process and technology development teams throughout the application development lifecycle.

Evaluate and recommend third-party applications and platforms to meet business needs, considering factors such as functionality, scalability, and security.

Design and implement integration solutions to facilitate seamless communication between business applications.

Develop and maintain documentation for business application architecture, including diagrams, standards, and guidelines.

Conduct regular architecture reviews to ensure compliance with architectural principles and standards.

Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in business application architecture, advocating for their adoption when appropriate.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to business applications.

Required Skills:

Expertise in solution architecture design and supporting multiple business applications.

Knowledge and experience working on Salesforce.com and related compliances. Working on SAP, Ariba experience is desirable.

Familiarity with cloud platform architecture and their application in business solutions.

Business process mapping and interface management.

Clear communication of technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Ability to lead and guide digital technology development teams.

Skill in documenting architectural designs and standards.

Capability to assess and select third-party solutions.

Experience in SoX compliance, standards and supporting internal and external audits.

Data warehouse skills are preferred.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Proven experience as a Business Applications Architect or similar role, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in architecting and managing key business applications, preferably salesforce.com, SAP S/4 ERP, or Ariba cloud solutions.

Extensive knowledge of business application architecture principles, methodologies, and frameworks.

Experience in architecting digital solutions for procurement, sales, marketing, supply chain, manufacturing, and financial accounting functions.

Experience with connecting different systems and data sources. Boomi iPaas solution is desirable.

Mastery in SDLC processes and software development practices and methodologies.

Understanding of security principles for protecting data and systems. Exposure to DevSecOps best practices is preferred

Hands-on experience with business application technologies such as SAP Ariba cloud procure to pay solution, ERP systems, Salesforce CRM systems, and business intelligence platforms.

Strong understanding of integration technologies and patterns (e.g., APIs, ESB, ELT).

Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (preferably AWS cloud experience) and cloud-native application development.

Hands on experience in assessing and selecting third party digital solutions and services.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Salesforce Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus

Frequency Definitions: Constant = Over 40% / Frequent = Up to 40% / Occasional = Up to 10%
