The Data Analytics and Visualization team is comprised of data scientists also equipped with a background in the science we enable. Quite simply, we evolve science with data. We partner with R&D scientists to build and advance solutions that make discovering and developing medicines better. Responsibilities
Perform analyses and implement technologies to deliver precise, reliable, and reproducible reports or solutions in a timely manner, under the direction of a more senior leader. Demonstrate technical precision and should possess general understanding of software development, data integration and warehousing, and data analysis and visualization tools.
You will create chemistry capabilities for drug design initiatives and chemistry related workflows using cheminformatics methods for scientists in the R&D community. Working closely with the Drug Discovery organization, this person will create technological deployments, data integrations, and scientific applications with the goal to enhance chemical data analysis and visualization, such as structural representation systems and virtual reaction capabilities. Key responsibilities include implementing new tools for data capture and curation, data integration, data visualization, and analysis of large and complex data sets. This opportunity offers the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week.

Combining chemistry foundation with passion for technology to enable chemistry workflows through chemistry technology solutions (using a breadth of tools such as RDKit and Spotfire)
Clear interpersonal communication, proofreading, editing, and formatting skills
Advanced problem-solving and quantitative skills
Navigation of large and complex data sets
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of principles of organic chemistry and chemical structure
Familiarity with Python
Meticulously detail-oriented and eager to delve into vast datasets
Demonstrated effective communication skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving and quantitative skills.
Preferred
Strong background in/affinity for computer science or data science
Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems, high-performance compute clusters, or SQL
Comfortable proactively initiating communications for problem solving efforts
Exposure to medicinal or pharmaceutical chemistry, drug-design, computational chemistry

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
