Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Scientist I or Associate Scientist to join our team in a 100% onsite role. The successful candidate will generate and analyze precise, reliable, and reproducible data under the direction of a senior scientific leader. This role requires experimental precision and a general understanding of core scientific disciplines.

Responsibilities:

– Produce high-quality histological slides consistently

– Perform or develop requested immunohistochemical techniques

– Recognize variations in tissue specimens

– Understand the chemical rationale of staining procedures

– Adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials, controlled drugs, and radioactive compounds, and GxP compliance

– Recognize and troubleshoot technical difficulties

– Establish and maintain proper quality control

– Analyze, interpret, and evaluate results at each tissue processing step to maintain quality control

– Follow established experimental protocols and assess results with supervision

– Report experimental variances

– Apply basic scientific principles to research

– Learn and implement new experimental protocols and techniques

– Maintain laboratory equipment and optimize operations for efficiency

– Consult literature to understand the scientific purpose of assignments

– Impact projects predominantly through lab work

Hard Skills

B.S./B.A. in Biology, Chemistry, or related field with 1-5 years relevant experience

HT ASCP certification preferred

Applicable animal experience

1 year of experience within a histology/pathology laboratory in a GLP pharmaceutical company, CRO, hospital, or diagnostic company

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 26 Weekly.
