Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

A flexible packaging company in New Century is looking for qualified maintenance technicians to perform PMs and repairs on their manufacturing equipment. Most of the work involves installing, maintaining, and repairing all equipment, ordering parts when needed, and getting broken-down machines back online as quickly as possible. This position is for the 2nd Shift, Monday – Friday from 4 PM to midnight, with some overtime as needed. Pay is $28-30/hour.

Hard Skills

Perform monthly PMs on machines and maintain records

Fabricate parts when needed

Order parts

Inventory management

Capable of lifting up to 50lbs unassisted

Work from scaffolding, roof area, and ladder

Use hand tools, power tools, propane torch, welder, and electronic testing equipment

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in New Century, Kansas.

Work Environment

Smaller manufacturing facility. Not climate controlled, so it can be hot in the summer. The team consists of 5 total maintenance technicians, but this position will work independently in the Converting Department where they convert sheets of thin plastic into bags.
