Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Traveling Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) for a client in Kaplan, Louisiana. The SSHO will be the primary safety contact for a new metal building project on concrete piles and must have extensive USACE experience. The client operates across Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and Louisiana, so the ideal candidate should be open to relocating for future projects in these areas. Housing and per diem will be provided.

The Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) is responsible for developing and reviewing the Accident Prevention Plan, conducting activity hazard analyses, and ensuring overall safety compliance on-site. This includes safety education, toolbox meetings, and proactive problem-solving for site-specific safety issues. The SSHO manages and enforces the Accident Prevention Plan, providing full-time on-site safety management, inspections, training, and enforcement.

Skills and Requirements

– 5 years of experience in site safety for the USACE

– EM-385 certification – Willing to travel to other projects when this project concludes in FL, AL, Louisiana, and GA. null
