This position performs a wide variety of routine tasks to include kitchen, stores, patient tray line, employee cafeteria, and dish and pot washing areas.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
EXPERIENCE:
1. Food Service experience.

1. Prepares and cooks foods for patients, employees and catering functions, including measuring and mixing ingredients, adjusting thermostats, monitoring food at all levels, etc.
2. Participates in the assembly and service of patient and non-patient meals, including stocking and serving the patient tray lines, taking food temperatures, preparing and serving in cafeteria and special functions, etc.
3. Cleans and sanitizes dishes and pots.
4. Operates and maintains cash register. Ensures that register skips balance.
5. Sets up and replenishes salad bar. Maintains cleanliness for cafeteria.
6. Provides patient service related clerical duties.
7. Assists in cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas.
8. Verbalizes the specific ages of patients served within the Hospital and can make application when necessary.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

1. Ability to attend to more than one aspect of a situation simultaneously.
2. Efficiency in processing of verbal information, either in written or spoken form is a major requirement and prerequisite of the job.
3. Some independent thought, planning or origination of options and solutions is necessary.
4. Ability to apply principles of reasoning and problem solving to resolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
