Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

Tasks range from setting up and operating plain or universal horizontal or vertical milling machines to perform machining operations such as compound angles and contours, boring compound angular holes, doing helical and spiral milling, serrating, and gear spline and keyway cutting to exacting tolerances. The machinist may select, mount, and align various specialized machine attachments and standard or improvised tooling, plan sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup, determine, set, and adjust speeds, feeds, and depth of cut. Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications, uses a variety of machinists hand tools and precision measuring instruments, makes standard shop computations, and measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining. The machinist may monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. The machinist will complete work across three different areas/buildings in Archbald, PA: stock cutting saw, large Pracico wash station, and burr bench work. No degree required but a High School Diploma is necessary. Work hours are from 5:30am-4:00pm, Monday through Thursday, following a 4×10 schedule. The manager will conduct on-site interviews for this position.
