About the role
Reworld Waste is seeking a Productivity Manager to join our East Region team!
Position Requirements:
Achieve productivity targets and maximize AEBITDA contributions.
Improve shareholder value by leading the development and execution of projects that are focused on reducing plant cost streams and improving plant revenue streams.
Improve Boiler On-Line Time by leading development of tactical execution plans to reduce Unscheduled Downtime at challenged plants.
Improve Capacity by leading development of tactical execution plans to improve production/throughput at challenged plants.
Maximize plant AEBITDA contribution by leading development of tactical execution plans to decrease operating costs.
Provide regional oversight to ensure plants are achieving productivity targets and ensure recovery plans are developed when appropriate.
Work closely with plant/regional leaders to ensure productivity targets are achieved and escalate when appropriate.
Accurately track hard and soft cost savings associated with productivity targets.
Monthly reporting to the senior leadership team on the progression in achieving fleet productivity targets.
Utilize and advance tools like process control methods, Lean, DMAIC, DOE, Six Sigma, LSW, etc.
Coach, mentor, and develop Green Belts and others to build a culture of excellence.
Quickly leverage projects for replication across the fleet to achieve and/or exceed productivity targets.
Provide oversight of productivity related training & development e.g., Green Belt Certification.
Work safely and comply with company safety program.
Education and Experience:
Education:
BS degree required from an accredited institution with a focus in engineering/manufacturing preferred.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred or a Green Belt that completes Black Belt certification within 18 months.
Experience:
5 years of plant operations related experience (Energy from waste, power, energy, chemical, heavy industrial, manufacturing, process).
5 years leading development and execution of productivity projects across multiple plants/regions.
Effective use of change management related strategies to develop, implement, and sustain productivity gains.
Demonstrated ability of using project management tools to ensure improvements implementation on time and on budget.
Demonstrated performance of executing “hands on” plant productivity projects.
Demonstrated ability to establish strong partnerships with key stakeholders to secure improvements implementation.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong financial acumen and an understanding of the Plant P&L.
Attention to detail to validate data accuracy and integrity.
Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and team building skills.
Knowledge of benchmarking strategies to identify/replicate best practices.
Strong project management skills to successfully achieve deliverables.
Strong Problem Solving and change managemen skills.
Other Requirements:
Required Certifications: LSS Black Belt or LSS Green Belt (required to complete Black Belt certification w/in 18 months.)
Willing and readily able to travel across the region/fleet when needed.
Approximately 30-50% travel should be expected to support plant projects.
Spend 40-50% of time leading actual projects.
Education:
