Description:

St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health, is looking for a full time Central Supply Aide to assist the materials management department in the hospital.

Schedule: Full Time 40 hrs

Shifts: Days

Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays as needed

Central Supply Aide

Maintains adequate supply levels (medical/surgical, pharmacy, linen, etc.) in all patient and in other areas (surgery, emergency, pediatrics).

Coordinates the exchange of all carts (supply, linen, food, unit doses) in the designated areas.

Handles supplies and equipment to ensure sterility and infection control.

Controls the patient care equipment (orthopedic, suction machines, etc.) on the floors assigned.

Makes sure they are available and in working order.

Coordinates the management of supply carts and supply utility rooms as scheduled and as needed.

Controls patient charges for supplies and equipment issued to patients in the assigned areas.

Obtains random (STAT) emergency or unusual supplies with the other materials management personnel.

Assists patient care staff with identification of supply needs and available alternatives, when requested.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School graduate or equivalent.

Computer skills

Possesses excellent communication skills to communicate with all levels of hospital personnel.

Must have working knowledge of computer/handhelds and software of Materials Management.

Ability and knowledge to be cross-trained in various positions in Materials Management departments.
