Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Engineer to join our team based out of Chantilly, VA.The Information Engineer must exhibit good judgment in interfacing with all government and contract personnel, providing proper examples of work performance, and adherence to professional standards and operational and security guidelines as defined by the Government and ManTech International, Inc.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide server installation support services for all facilities. Perform refresh of servers (CONUS), provide a plan, and update it as needed. Provide non-routine (e.g., emergency) server installation support services. Coordinate with the applicable points-of-contact to arrange server installations and minimize disruptions to on-going activities; Coordinate logistics with the other functional elements of this contract (e.g., shipping and receiving, deployment, training, etc.); and create accurate technical documents for all server installation activities. This Server Installation activity is inclusive, Server Installations and Configuration, Software Application and Operating System Deployments, SQL Server Support, Data Center Support, Server Installations and Configuration, Perform server upgrades (server only swap) with full hardware and software installation and configuration. Perform server installation (all hardware components) with full hardware and software installation and configuration and migration of database to new hardware. Perform new deployment of hardware, software, and template database (ex. Apia, Dili, Juba) Perform server installation (all hardware components) with full hardware and software installation and configuration and migration of database to new hardware; and after installation and deployment, ensure that the systems are configured per technical specifications contained in approved technical documentation. Software Application and Operating System Deployments In support of an active deployment, perform operating system configuration and including security fixes. Perform software application installations and upgrades for all existing Applications including applications in the DMZ (public facing applications Web-based) Perform CCD Security Patches, including PO&AM remediation fixes; Perform One-off Application and security deployments. Perform Oracle database changes (table and file rec length changes, alt-file and key re-sequences for faster data access, new table/file adds), Special Projects/Surge Support Deployment. Hands on experience and provide guidance to highly technical systems engineers, Server installation including Windows Server, Oracle OEL, Linux, and Database Support. Provides technical expertise in the management of servers that connect to a public and/or private network such as Internet protocol (IP) networks, wide area networks (WANs), switches, routers (CISCO), and troubleshoots issues by collaborating with all parties. Provide Technical expertise and guidance to Servers, SA team, trouble shoot complex issues. Assist design of network installation configuration from ground-up in new sites, support decommissioning of a site, and assist in moves, support computer systems and peripherals. May lead functional teams or projects Requires depth and/or breadth of expertise, and all other tasks as assigned by management.Minimum Qualifications: 5 years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on Server/Network and other scripting SME. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making. Experience in Customer Service. One or more IT industry certifications. Hands on experience with VMWare, vSphere. Hands on experience with server installations including Windows Server, SQL Server, Oracle OEL, Linux, and Database Support. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Productivity applications. Database configuration and administration – Microsoft SQL Server. Storage appliance configuration and migration. Must be able to travel at least 25%. High school diploma or equivalent.Preferred Qualifications: Associate or Bachelors degree highly preferred.Security Clearance Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance. A current and active Secret clearance strongly preferred.Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time. Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings; or interface with co-workers; leadership as well as customer. Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customer. Must be able to effectively use IT peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, fax machine, etc. Must be able to deliver presentations as needed. Must be able to review; decipher and understand program manuals; software/hardware manuals; training manuals; etc.
