Entry Level Mechanical Engineer

Amentum is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer at our Annapolis Junction, MD office.
You are a motivated, task-oriented person, who will perform a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operations, and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems and generally as a member of a design, analysis, or review team.
Responsibilities:
Perform design, development or review tasks in specific areas under close supervision.
Design a portion or section of an analysis or design review.
Assist in generation of specifications and engineering data.
Assist in the preparation of reports and correspondence.
Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status
Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
Interface with customers in design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.
Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related scientific field, and at least 1 year of mechanical engineering experience
In lieu of degree, at least 9 years of mechanical engineering experience
Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs
Position may require travel
Due to the nature of the work, must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
Good communications and analytical skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Knowledge and capability with AutoCAD
