Software Engineer

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Engineer to join our team in Hanover, Maryland. The position is part of a team that provides development support for an organization that is tasked with dissemination of data to various customers within the Intelligence Community.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Developing, maintaining, and enhancing software systems Working individually or as part of a team Reviewing and testing software components Resolving software problem reports Utilizing software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environmentBasic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 20 years of experience or 24 years of total experience Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements Debug existing software and correct defects Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments Write or review software and system documentation Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components Write or review software and system documentation Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards Select the software development process in coordination with the customer and system engineering Recommend new technologies and processes for complex software projects Ensure quality control of all developed and modified softwarePreferred Qualifications: Java 8 Spring Boot Apache NiFi Git Relational Database (MySQL) Nginx Linux (BASH) REST Angular 13 Apache Maven Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence) ElasticSearch Amazon Web Services DockerSecurity Clearance Requirements: Current and active TS/SCI with polygraph based upon an SSBI.Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
