Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a skilled IT Buyer/Procurement Specialist for a clients IT Department. The Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement of IT hardware, software, and services. This role involves negotiating with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of products, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions. The hourly pay rate is $25-40/hr and based on experience.
Procurement Management: Source and purchase IT equipment, software, and services in line with departmental needs and budget constraints.
Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the best pricing and terms.
Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the IT team to forecast future needs.
Order Processing: Manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of goods.
Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce expenses.
Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team and other departments to understand their needs and provide procurement support.

Skills and Requirements
- Experience as a buyer/procurement specialist for IT hardware and software
- Skilled in tracking both customer and vendor transactions: quote requests, requisition processing, PO creation, invoicing, product delivery to and from vendors, final installation, etc.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. null
