Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the COMPTROLLER AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT (N02F) of NMCLANT YORKTOWN VA. GS-9: $60,808 – $79,050 GS-7: $49,713 – $64,628 Responsibilities You will assist in the performance of functions such as formulation of budget and estimates, review and evaluate budget requests, and control and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will provide information about and interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations. You will perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems, analytical, forecasting and interpretive functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds. You will perform a variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-9: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge and skill of the functions, goals, objectives, work processes, and funding sources sufficient to related needs and accomplishments to anticipated or actual dollar figures. Experience working independently on routine continuing assignments. Experience applying knowledge of the policies, precedents, regulations, and guidelines of a functional area such as financial oversight, budget formulation, and/or budget execution. Experience analyzing and evaluating changes in program plans and funding and/or budgetary relationships. GS-7: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of and skill in the functions, goals, objectives, work processes, and funding sources sufficient to related needs and accomplishments to anticipated or actual dollar figures. Experience applying knowledge of the commonly used budgetary, accounting, and/or financial administration practices, procedures, regulations and policies of the organization. Experience applying a practical knowledge of the mission, function, goals and objectives of the organization. Experience analyzing and interpreting sources information and applying it to specific areas of work.
