ManTech is seeking a skilled, professional, and service-oriented Mechanic Technician to join our vehicle sustainment team. The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Repairs, rebuilds or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks or tractors. Work involves replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting and ignition systems. Performs other related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications: Selected candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. Six (6) years of qualified automotive maintenance experience. Qualified mechanical experience includes one or more of the following: tactical and commercial wheeled vehicles, tracked vehicles, power generators sets or construction equipment. Maintenance support includes operations, system troubleshooting, engineering, design, installation, analysis, maintenance and repair of U.S. systems and subsystems to component level. Proficient with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters. Experience effectively applying industry or military standard troubleshooting procedures to localize and isolate faulty system components. Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening. Valid Driver’s License. High School Diploma or GED.Preferred Qualifications: Willingness to travel to various US or OCONUS locations. Meet all government CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) requirements for foreign travel into operational locations.Clearance Requirements: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.Physical Requirements: Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel. Must be able to push, pull, and reach. Must be able to work in high noise areas. Must be able to lift 50lbs and small parts. Must be able to work with computers and CRTs, and type on a computer keyboard.
