As a vital member of our GDOT Statewide Utilities Coordination team, you’ll be recognized as an industry thought leader and will contribute as a top thought leader worldwide. You’ll proactively identify and solve the most complex problems that impact the management and direction of the business. You’ll plan, direct, monitor, and control the work. You’ll make recommendations for the solution of problems pertaining to operations, programs, finances, personnel, equipment, and supplies. You’ll prepare and review utility agreement assembly packages and review utilities plan and estimates to evaluate compliance with guidelines, rules, and regulations. You’ll develop utilities P6 Schedules and develop and provide training to new utilities coordinators. You’ll be able to demonstrate your leadership skills to manage operations and staffing in delivering multi-disciplinary projects that will lead us to success and create the opportunity to develop and maintain longstanding positive client relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Demonstrated experience working on successful projects with public agencies
• 7 years of progressive experience as an engineer or project manager in the GDOT transportation sector in planning and design
• Working knowledge of federal and state utilities guidelines in coordination with Utilities Companies
• Successful experience in contract negotiations, budgets, and fee estimates
