10am – 10:30pm/ Full Time/ 36 Hours
Salary range – $16.25-21.12
Were seeking a Hemodialysis Assistant for Emory Midtown Hospital responsible for being a capable certified technician who cares about the quality of their work an ensuring the safety for all patients.
This individual will:
Under direct supervision of RN assists with prime, breakdown of extracorporeal hemodialysis system including cleaning, disinfection and quality checks of machines.
Preps patient for hemodialysis treatment including pre and post treatment transportation, vital signs, weight, blood glucose and telemetry lead application as necessary.
Delivers equipment and supplies to patient room as scheduled; performs supply inventory, ordering and restocking; works cooperatively with staff and other departments in maintaining hemodialysis standards of care; supports compliance with departmental policies and procedures; maintains confidentiality.
Point of care check off required annually.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
One year previous health care experience with 6 months in an inpatient setting.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is required.
