Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will plan and execute social events, visits, and tours for both distinguished and ordinary visitors to SWFLANT. You will compose correspondence and make contact with individuals at Department of the Navy, Federal and State offices as well as foreign and local government offices. You will research regulations and other sources to determine proper protocol procedures pertinent to visiting dignitaries such as seating, military honors, entertainment, comparative positions and titles, etc. You will assist the assigned Project Officer in planning, coordinating and executing all other official and social functions hosted by members of the Command. You will perform photographic support for all command events to also include individual photos such as Officer Fitreps, Sailor of the Quarter/Year, Quarter Deck Organization, etc. You will operate a personal computer, using a variety of software including advanced software functions to convert narrative and tabular material. You will prepare distinguished visitor welcome packages. You will load presentations on the conference room computer and operates the keyboard during official visits. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience, one year of which was equivalent to the (GS-04) grade level or pay band (NH-01) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; AND communicate effectively orally and in writing. Preferred experience will demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences, including military personnel, visiting dignitaries, VIPs, and Flag Officers, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all interactions. Providing outstanding customer service within a high-stakes environment, adept at addressing the needs and concerns of distinguished guests while maintaining the integrity and security of the facility. In-depth knowledge of military protocols and procedures, with experience coordinating events and visits for high-ranking officials, ensuring compliance with established guidelines while fostering positive relationships within the Command. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Education may be substituted for specialized experience for the NH-02 as follows: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: ~Have successfully completed a four year course of study leading to a bachelors degree. -OR- ~Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent. Additional Information This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-2 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-5 to GS-11. This announcement uses the Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) Business Management & Technical Management direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
