Boardwalk Beach Resort Hotel and Convention Centerhas an immediate openingfor a full-timeChief Engineer. We are looking for a working leader/supervisor, responsible formanagingall aspects of the maintenance staff on a daily basis. Direct, coordinateand performroutine, preventive and emergency interior / exterior maintenance and repairs andobtain optimum efficiency and economy of hotel operations. Other duties include, but are not limited to:
– Prioritize, plan, schedule, assign and supervise the engineering department staff.
– Oversee maintenance tasks, work orders and special projects to ensure timely, accurate completion and proper communication.
– Respond to guests maintenance needs promptly and ensure guest receive professional, efficient and courteous service.
– Maximize engineering team potential with a balanced focus on operations, guest, employee, and owner satisfaction.
– Maintain the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel and physical plant, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.
– Directs the Engineering staff, in accounting/budgeting, asset protection, inventory control and human resources.
– Ensure proper service records are kept relating to all physical plant and equipment for the hotel and convention center.
– Attend all facility/property meetings as required, passing on necessary information to the engineering staff in regular junior staff meetings.
– Perform daily and weekly property inspections to ensure property, grounds, physical plant and all work areas are properly maintained and all safety equipment and conditions are to code.
PREREQUISITES:
Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering with positive attitude, Good communication skills and committed to delivering a high level of customer service. CPO Certification preferred.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years maintenance experience with at least 3 years supervisory or manager experience in a hotel engineering environment.
