Maintenance Technician

Job Overview:
As a maintenance technician associate, you are a pillar supporting the operation at our properties. The team ensures that all mechanical systems and equipment at the building are operational and properly maintained. Additionally, our team members are attentive and diligently work to ensure that all common areas are maintained in both an aesthetically appealing and disinfected condition.
Your Responsibilities:
Performs routine walking inspections of floors in order to identify problems and report them to supervisors.
Maintains work equipment in good working condition.
Performs maintenance repairs in the common areas such as drywall, carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring, and other general
Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
While following safety procedures, performs casual labor (e.g., such as moving heavy items) as directed by supervisors.
Performs maintenance replacement and repair in areas of carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring, and other minor building repairs as long as a permit is not required to conduct the job.
Must be able to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
Other duties as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
Critical thinking, problem solving, judgement and decision-making abilities are necessary.
Ability to maintain positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment.
Possess strong maintenance and repair skills, painting, carpentry, plumbing and electricity.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50lbs following appropriate safety procedures.
Ability to work in various positions, including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, navigating the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job functions
Ability to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed.
Ability to repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm; weekends when needed

As a full-time non-exempt associate, you will be eligible for full comprehensive benefits to include your choice of multiple medical plans, dental, vision. In addition, you will be eligible for time off benefits, paid holidays and a 401k with company match. Occasional travel may be required to attend training and other company functions.
Compensation: $21.00 per hour
