ManTech is seeking a Network Specialist to join our Air Force / Space team at Eglin AFB. The Network Specialists primary function is to support the United States Air Force’s 53rd Wing Technical Support Services (53rd WTSS) contract.Responsibilities: Researching and developing solutions to issues that arise as part of daily operations. Assisting with developing new solutions to keep the network evolving and forward looking. Provide Tier 2 and 3 supports for network testing and operations. Managing network local test environment including, routers, switches, firewalls, servers, CUCM, and VOIP phones. Creating documentation and diagrams for all projects as well as changes made to the network. Attending meetings to discuss the status of projects and changes being made. Maintaining firewall policies with multiple vendors. Identifying and exploring training opportunities that will benefit both the lab and operations center. Working with outside agencies for resources, quotes, and training. Working through security STIGS and determine how to make devices and configurations compliant. Working in a Hyper-V environment to help maintain servers related to network management. Working with datacenter network technology including Nexus switches and vPC. Maintaining and developing changes involving firewalls, routers, switches, TACLANES, Solarwinds, GEM One, and Hyper-V. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years direct/related experience in information security B.S. degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent experience in lieu of degree IAT Level 2 Certification Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft Exchange Server, and as needed RHEL operating systems administration and associated hardware Working knowledge of CISCO network and switching and virtualization technologies Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologies Working knowledge communication security (COMSEC) policies and integration Working knowledge of Risk Management Framework, Common Criteria, and System Security Policy as they relate to assessments and authorization Working knowledge and current relevant experience with PL2 and PL3 network environments/systems Experience providing technical support in a customer service role Experience applying industry standards and best practices in an enterprise-level Windows system environment. Experience solving technical problems quickly and identifying opportunities to automate repetitive processes. Working knowledge of WSUS and/or YUM patch deployment methodologies Must be familiar with DoD policy as it applies to implementing and executing system and network administrationSecurity Clearance: Active/Current Top-Secret Clearance Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information Willingness to submit to a polygraph.Physical Requirements: The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.” Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs#B53
