Job Description

BAE Systems has an immediate need for an SCA Engineering Technician I supporting our AVCOM team. In this exciting role, the Engineering Technician performs assignments to apply standard practices and techniques in logistics to identify, analyze, and solve obsolescence issues across multiple platforms.

Additional responsibilities include:

Review technical and engineering data

Perform detailed information searches, correlation and interpretation of technical data

Work product will be used to accurately maintain various BAE Systems databases

Performs other related duties as assigned

This position is controlled by the Service Contract Act (SCA) and is classified as non-exempt by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Computer proficiency and experience with MS office tools (specifically Excel)

Interpersonal skills (verbal / written communications)

Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and may be required to meet eligibility requirements for access to controlled and classified information

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Minimum 2 years of experience with USAF Technical Orders and/or engineering drawings

Technical background/military experience on military equipment or related disciplines

Experience with JEDMICS and FedLog

Adobe Acrobat experience

Pay Information

This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-OHara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
