Veterinary Technician- Dermatology

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Dermatology Veterinary Technician .

We have many specialized technicians in Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, and Emergency/Critical Care. Applicants should have a strong knowledge base, motivation to learn, and ambition to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Pay: $20.00 – $40.00 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through CareerTrax leveling system

As a Dermatology Veterinary Technician , you will:

Communicate effectively with different people in high stress situations

Triage and obtain patient history  

Perform venipuncture and placing intravenous catheters  

Utilize Dermatology terms

Swab for Otic Cytology, and ear mite preparation

Prepare for Skin Biopsy

Recognize alopecia, nodules and tumors

Perform Anesthesia monitoring

Perform CPR  

Perform radiographs  

Perform diagnostic procedures and treatments

Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients

Be familiar and proficient with aseptic techniques

Be familiar with laboratory procedures and practices
