Senior General Accountant

Job Description

These candidates will be working as General Accountants supporting a large regional utilities/construction company that is based near Huntsville, AL. The primary responsibility for the senior level role would be overseeing their full set of books, handling general ledger, reviewing financial statements, and also helping with the implementation of their new leasing system software (CoStar) and handling all financials that are input into that system. The staff accountants will be training under their senior accountants and will be handling reporting, financial statements, etc. They will also handle month/quarter/year end close and be responsible for those books every month. They would be able to come onsite to their headquarters in Hartselle, AL (the senior level role is remote). The salary range is between $70,000-$90,000 depending on experience.

5 years of experience as a “full cycle” accountant

General Ledger

Reviewing financial statements & P/L Statements

Reconciling balance sheets

Monthly close Fixed Asset experience

Background in construction, utilities, storm, etc. null
