Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Global Director of Learning and Development with a specialized focus on mainframe technology. This role is pivotal in transforming our growing global mainframe learning program into the industry gold standard. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the future of mainframe technology education and making a significant impact within Ensono.

What You Will Do:

Learning Culture: Build a sustainable learning culture within our global mainframe organization, nurturing the vast knowledge of our team members and fostering an inclusive and continuous learning community.

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a strategic vision for learning and development in the mainframe domain, aligned with Ensono’s overall goals and objectives.

Program Development: Design, implement, and continuously improve our mainframe training programs which cater to various levels of expertise, from beginners to advanced practitioners including introducing innovative learning methodologies and technologies to improve training effectiveness and engagement.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with global internal and external stakeholders including senior leadership to identify learning needs and ensure the alignment of learning objectives with business strategy.

Knowledge Management Transfer: Develop and manage processes for effective knowledge transfer within the mainframe organization including facilitating mentorship and coaching programs to ensure knowledge continuity.

Team Management: Lead and mentor a global team of instructional designers, trainers, and subject matter experts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of learning initiatives, making data-driven improvements as needed.

Industry Trends: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in mainframe and learning and development, integrating best practices into the company’s training programs.

Budget Management: Oversee the learning and development budget for the mainframe program, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize program impact.

What You Will Need:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience: Proven experience in a senior learning and development role for a global organization, within the technology or IT sector. A knowledge of mainframe is a plus.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire global teams, manage complex projects, and drive organizational change.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
