Primary Role: The Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for the mold development of new product and over seeing the manufacturing process. Maintain and develop project timelines and budgets for new product integration. Resolve and trouble shoot equipment to reduce down time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, or technical drawings to understand mold specifications
Set up and operate computer-controlled machinery, such as CNC and other equipment to complete mold build process
Lead the engineering and manufacturing teams to develop the Latham mold build process roadmap
Manage cost and schedule of capital projects related to new engineering technology
Develop technology roadmap for the use of robotics and additive manufacturing in the Fiberglass Division
Lead cost out projects on mold build process
Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce lead time of new model development
Trouble shoot and resolve equipment issues as they arise to minimize downtime
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with Latham safety procedures
Qualifications:
Knowledge of fiberglass/epoxy composite materials
BS/MS in marine/aerospace/mechanical engineering with 10 years of experience in composite structural design, CNC programming and additive manufacturing.
Strong understanding of composite structural analysis, failure modes of composite structures, how to set up structural analysis methods to ensure failure modes are clearly understood and margin to failure is quantified.
Experience with SolidWorks CAD and Master CAM.
Experience leading capital projects
Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel (including spreadsheets/databases).
Up to 25% overnight travel can be expected
