Summary
The Business Analytics Advisor will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of a reporting and analytics environment within the Sales and Provider Analytics organization to provide insights and inform decision making across the organization. This role will partner closely with individuals from Health Plan Analytics, IT, and our enterprise 360 teams to define data requirements, design database structure, create transformation logic and implement validation checks to ensure data is accurate and available for analysts, data scientists and various reporting teams to leverage.
In this role, you will provide expert content/professional leadership for complex Business Analytics assignments/projects. You will exercise considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives. You will use your deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders while focusing on providing thought leadership within Business Analytics. The person in this role will also work on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business concepts.
Responsibilities
Act as a key subject matter expert (SME) for data within the reporting and analytics environment
Develop and deliver complex analytics and reporting projects and/or solutions
Integrate and analyze data from multiple sources and to create and support data assets for BI and analytical consumption
Use strong programming skills to explore, examine and interpret large volumes of data in various forms
Develop analytic solutions that meet the needs of the business
Partner with cross functional teams within Growth Analytics Business Intelligence and Value streams to deliver repeatable and quality data assets that enable our business partners
Ensure code is appropriately documented and can be understood by other analysts
Ensure analytic approach and results are clearly understood by business partners
Exhibit full understanding of data and leverage data in an appropriate way (correct sources, clear assumptions, approved by business)
Qualifications
Strong technical skills in data extraction, transformation and tool development
Expertise in SQL, Python, GitHub, AWS, Databricks, Terraform Scripts, CICD, Mac OS/Linux
Proven ability to manipulate, validate and interpret data from a variety of sources for analytic research and investigation.
Proven experience in designing and implementing “no touch” automation in a CI/CD environment.
Working knowledge of enterprise data warehouse methodologies and data extraction methods using tools to connect to Teradata, Hadoop, Oracle, DB2, etc.
Excellent collaboration and partnership skills with proven experience in managing multiple priorities and agility in adapting to change
Proven ability to work collaboratively in complex matrix organizations and agile teams
Ability to independently perform data analysis while managing multiple projects and meeting strict deadlines
Strong communication skills to include written, oral, and group presentations
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 95,200 – 158,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
