Day in the Life:
Assist in the Global oversite of the outsource kit vendors providing support to the Senior Manager for the proper distribution of kit production and order fulfillment ensuring supplies are processed in a timely manner.
The (Assoc) Logistics Coordinator Kitting Operations ensures a high level of support, service, reliability, and availability to external kit vendors and internal departments. Assisting with monitoring workload and key performance indicator matrices as well as analyzes data to surface inefficiencies and provide solutions. Investigates and resolves process deviations with regards to kit vendor related issues.
Keys to Success:
Education
High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Experience
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0-1 year) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Accurate data entry skills with intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office
Strong analytical, interpersonal and time management skills
Strong client and phone service skills
Basic knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and department principals such as pre-analytical technique
Excellent verbal communications and customer service skills in the English language -additional languages are an advantage
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support quality decision making
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Additional / Specific Job Responsibilities:
Reports to Team Lead level or above
Support daily coordination between kit vendor and GSS
All operational day to day activities in regard to supply order management
Adding items to Master supply list in Preclarus Central lab data base
Managing Ship by Dates
System comments
Modifying Orders
Backorders
Express orders
Review/Releasing orders
Answering emails – phone calls on site supply queries
Placing re-supply orders
Maintain communication channel to Project Management
Inform PM of delayed orders, backorders
Material outages
Short dated stock
Supports information sharing within GSS department
Attend weekly kitting vendor operational meetings
Point of contact for issues and questions related to proforma invoices for supply orders, Starter Packs and Courier Contact Sheets.
