The Role

The Director, Executive Recruiting, is responsible for leading the executive recruitment team and overseeing all aspects of the executive hiring process. This role involves developing and implementing effective recruitment strategies, managing the recruitment team, and ensuring the successful placement of top-tier executive talent.

The Main Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the executive recruitment team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture

• Drive recruiter optimization behaviors – simplify work, drive impactful social media behavior, sourcing tactics, tool optimization, and ensure talent advisor skills. Recruiter adoption of best practices, next-gen technologies and tools provided are essential.

• Work with business leaders, recruitment marketing, and recruiters to enhance and grow our talent brand across the external talent marketplace

• Provide consultant-level talent advisory services to leaders for talent acquisition excellence

• Regularly interact with senior level executives and other key stakeholders, exerting substantial influence over the business to obtain timely and accurate hiring plans – when not provided, uses data and analytics to develop projections to ensure cost-effective execution while meeting and exceeding business expectations

• Drive a data-driven recruiting organization by developing recruiting metrics and analytics that provide insights, drive decision making and measure team productivity and program ROI

• Develop and execute best-in-class practices for end-to-end candidate experience inclusive of sourcing, screening, interviewing, assessment, and selection of top talent

• Anticipate and strategize for unexpected turns (up and down) in hiring levels – ensure on-time ramp and de-ramp implementation to achieve critical business deliverables

• Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract and retain top executive talent

• Collaborate with and provide guidance and insights to the HR Solutions Team, Talent Management, Compensation, other HR COEs, and the business to ensure end-to-end talent strategies are best in class

• Support overall Talent Acquisition cost control which may include difficult decision making about recruiter and sourcer talent, availability and usage of paid recruiter tools, workload/bandwidth fluctuations, etc.

• Lead, develop, execute and monitor recruiter performance in building effective job offers, aligned with corporate compensation strategies

• Special projects are repeatedly assigned in addition to overall responsibilities – these projects vary greatly in complexity, scope and impact across the business.

What We Look For in a Candidate

• Proven experience in executive recruitment or a similar leadership role, with a track record of successfully placing executive level candidates

• 10 years of leading Talent Acquisition/Executive Talent Acquisition experience

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders and candidates

• Critical skills include negotiating and influencing senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization

• Proven leadership skills, the highest standards of peer and cross-functional collaboration, and effective communication (written, verbal, and across all levels of employees) are essential to success

• Demonstrated strong analytic skills with a proven track record of using data and metrics to evaluate needs, drive change and measure impact

• Highly effective and timely decision-making on significant financial matters and performance matters

• Effectively delivers against tight deadlines under high pressure circumstances

• Demonstrates exceptional customer focus

• Effectively delivered results and assignments for high impact against tight deadlines under high pressure circumstances

• Proven delivery of creative and innovative approaches to problem solving

Preferred:

• Previous leadership of medium to large size Talent Acquisition teams

• Previous Talent Acquisition experience in complex, Fortune 150 organizations

• Working knowledge of competency models and their practical application, including talent assessment

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employees primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individuals qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$128,310 – $171,080 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.

$135,060 – $180,080 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.

$141,820 – $189,090 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.

$148,570 – $198,090 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

As with the pay range variety thats based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
