Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Transportation Coordinator to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating transportation operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service.

Duties

– Coordinate transportation schedules and routes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
– Communicate with drivers, vendors, and clients to ensure clear understanding of delivery requirements.
– Monitor shipment progress and address any issues that may arise during transit.
– Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including shipping documents and invoices.
– Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading and unloading of goods.
– Analyze transportation data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
– Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.

Requirements

– Proven experience in transportation coordination or logistics management is preferred.
– Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Proficiency in using transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
– Knowledge of local, state, and federal transportation regulations is a plus.
– A valid drivers license may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
