UC Health is hiring a PRN OB Technician for the labor & delivery department for 12 Hour PM shift at West Chester.
The Labor & Delivery OB Technician will support West Chester Labor & Delivery unit. They will be delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs. This role requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to assist in a circulator role under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Shift: 12 hr Night
Education and Experience Requirements:
– High school graduate or GED required.
– BLS certification- within 60 days of hire
– STNA preferred; successful passage of 80 hours of State Tested Nurse Aide Training; 40 hours of Acute Medical-Surgical Training, Specialty Training and Hospital Specific Training or a Student from an NLN accredited RN program having successfully completed one Medical-Surgical rotation or another acute rotation.
– 1-2 years Medical Assistant or previous operating room preferred.

The OB Technician needs to demonstrate working knowledge of reasons for tests, procedures, treatments and potential signs and symptoms of complications. It is also someone who demonstrates the knowledge and skills to provide for the physical, psycho/social, safety, cultural, and related patient needs appropriate to the age of the patients of the clinical population served.
PATIENT POPULATION – (CLINICAL ONLY):
Engages in population appropriate communication. Has knowledge of growth and development milestones and tasks. Gives clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment. Involves family/guardian in the assessment,
