Job Qualifications
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD Chemist who has experience in surface science to join the Beauty Care Organization in Procter and Gamble, located in Cincinnati, OH.
The selected candidate will have:
Technical Mastery in Surface Science: The candidate must have experience in surface characterization methods such as XPS, TOF-SIMS, AFM as well as adhesion and friction measurements. Measurement of surface tension and interfacial tension. A detailed understanding of friction and adhesion models and lubrication mechanisms and experience with assessing surface properties of materials.
Technical Curiosity: Technical Curiosity: Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate the question to be answered, generate robust technical hypothesis, pose solutions for testing hypothesis, align strategy and execute with excellence. Enjoy and prioritize spending time in the lab
Can Do Spirit: Determination to take personal leadership to overcome barriers and obstacles. A willingness to stretch functional boundaries to be part of solving whatever problem the team needs to solve today.
Collaboration: Collaboration Leveraging C&D (internal and external). Demonstrated collaboration with multifunctional team members.
Communication: Verbal and Written. Demonstrated proficiency in ability to conducts detailed analysis of data and summarizes experiments to provide clear direction for projects/programs.
Job Skills: Surface science, Chemistry, Materials Technology, Mechanism of Action, Problem Solving, Scientific Methods, Iterative Prototyping, Rapid Prototyping, Collaboration, Digital Systems, Sustainability, Communication (oral and written).
