About the Position
Submission of warranty claims to vehicle manufactures on behalf of First Student company maintenance facilities.
Responsibilities:
Manages the warranty process in accordance with company policy and within the parameters established by the manufacturers. Claims need to be filed in a timely manner.
Performs periodic audits of First Student maintenance systems to ensure claims are getting flagged for potential warranty. Reports discrepancies to the warranty director to modify the warranty agreements.
Identifies product deficiencies and failure trends and communicates this information to the First Student Technical Department. Tracks TSR reports as they relate to warranty.
Maintains database of all warranty claims and their current status. Proper follow up with manufacturers on aged claims.
Works in partnership with the Technical team to ensure the timely processing of recalls and campaigns.
Works closely with First Student maintenance staff (RMMs, Service Managers & TICs) to follow up on warranty questions and to gather additional information required to process claims in a timely manner.
Manages part return requests by the manufacturers. Follows up accordingly to ensure timely payment of claims and to avoid claim charge backs.
Ensures vehicle and warranty information is correct in the appropriate First Student maintenance systems (WFA and Infor). Warranty start dates may need to be modified in the manufacturer’s systems.
Reconciliation of check or EFT reimbursements. Follows up on claims that were short-paid or rejected.
Works closely with manufacturer reps on after warranty goodwill requests and timely payment of submitted claims. Reports and follows up on missing information on manufacturer databases as well as system performance.
Qualifications:
3-4 years of related experience necessary. Vehicle warranty experience, feet maintenance experience, vehicle parts experience required.
Strong communication skills; both verbal and written.
Strong computer skills including MS office products.
Strong problem solving skills.
