Description:
The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for the effective planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and availability of aerospace equipment and facilities. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing resources, and ensuring that maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations. Additionally, the role includes responsibilities related to inventory management, overseeing small projects, and coordinating with contractors.
Responsibilities-
Key Facility Maintenance Planner/Scheduler Responsibilities:
Ensure GE and regulatory EHS, life safety and building code compliance.
Drive customer service and work completion based on priorities set by customers, supervisors, and maintenance leadership.
Develop and maintain detailed maintenance plans and schedules for all equipment and facilities.
Coordinate with operations, engineering, and other departments to ensure maintenance activities are aligned with production schedules.
Prioritize maintenance tasks based on safety, quality, and operational needs.
Monitor inventory levels of spare parts, project materials, tools, and coordinate procurement to ensure a timely completion of maintenance tasks.
Conduct regular inventory audits and implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
Create, review, and manage work orders, PMs, job plans, and schedules in the maintenance management system.
Ensure all work orders are accurately documented, including scope of work, required resources, and estimated completion times.
Plan and oversee small maintenance projects, including equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications.
Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure successful project execution.
Coordinate contractor activities to minimize disruption to operations and ensure timely completion of work.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in maintenance planning and scheduling.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address recurring maintenance issues.
Communicate maintenance plans and schedules to all relevant stakeholders.
Generate reports on maintenance performance metrics, such as equipment downtime, maintenance costs, and work order completion rates.
Provide strong individual contributions in the context of achieving team goals

Aware of and comply with the Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
Knowledge of GE Corporate Facilities Procedures & Policies and operate within them to ensure that all equipment & related documents are in compliance
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Manufacturing environment, Project management, Facility Management, and/or Maintenance) Minimum of 3 years of Manufacturing environment, Project management, Facility Management, and/or Maintenance experience.
Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point, Maintenance Systems CMMS, etc.
