As part GE Aerospace Engineering, the Engineer will be responsible for the mechanical design, manufacture, and delivery of hardware used in the development testing of the next generation of narrow body jet engines. You will be required to push the boundaries of what is possible with the latest technologies and materials developed at GE Aerospace. This role is a part of the Advanced Mechanical Design Structures team reporting the team manager.
This position has the flexibility of optional hybrid schedule once fully trained. The hybrid schedule consists of working in the office minimum of 3 days per week and the option to work from home on the other days, based on team/project schedules.
Job Description
Execute design and analysis tasks of assigned components using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirements
Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
Collaborates with others to solve issues. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews with internal and external customers
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university or college.
Must be willing to work onsite in Evendale, OH
