Healthcare Sim Special I/Coord

Summary

Works under the direction of the Simulation Lab Manager and Simulation Lab Supervisor to develop and implement a strategic plan for managing the simulation events. Serves as the focal point of communication for the simulation staff and the simulation customers (internal and external). Develops/organizes plans, coordinates, communicates and controls activities of assigned events/projects. Collaborates with Simulation Specialist II to implement simulator-based educational activities for medical and healthcare personnel. Implements realistic simulations addressing goals for the activity under direction of Healthcare Simulation Specialist II. Assists with debriefing and assessing the quality of simulation processes within the lab. Works with physicians and other healthcare providers to conduct simulations that help meet their goals. Maintains working knowledge of the simulators and works with the lab staff to manage and prepare supplies for simulation activities.

Education

Must have a Bachelor of Science degree.

Licensure/Certification

Certification in simulation preferred. Must have a valid drivers license.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years relevant experience working for a hospital.

Must have good oral, presentation, and written communication skills. Demonstrates ability to manage competing priorities and projects. Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively in a complex organization.
