Inside working environment, on production floor; floor becomes slippery with oil. Noise levels on production floor require hearing protection, temperature fluctuates dependent on season. Working around powered industrial vehicles. Working with and around oil and chemicals.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Quality Assurance Technician youll be part of our team located in Montpelier, IN. You’ll get to:

Approves initial part for start up

Gathers and reports SPC information during production run

Completes inspection reports

Audits production parts to ensure parts meet acceptable criteria

Notifies appropriate personnel of any deviation for established part parameters

Sets up, calibrates and operates all laboratory equipment in the QC lab

Required to assist in maintaining AL2A requirements

Performs final inspection, testing, and recording of control lot items per the Quality Control Manual

Performs and records checks on purchase products required by Quality Control Manual

Assists supervisor in receiving and resolving quality issues

Responsible for administration of established quality procedures

Responsible for S.P.C. and Stat facs system

Maintenance of measuring instruments and lab equipment used by quality personnel

Verify the raw materials meets specifications

Performs the physical preparation of any samples for production evaluation of quality problems

Performs and records final inspection on specific parts as designated by supervisor

Maintain housekeeping standards

Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Maintain all gauge software

Ability to work overtime as needed

Update and maintain programming on all laboratory equipment

Perform sample layouts

Perform physical property testing

Produces visual inspection aids for production floor

Assist Six Sigma projects by supplying technical support and any test data needed

Who You Are

High School Diploma or GED

Preferred 2 year degree or related experience

Ability to perform sample layouts

Ability to perform physical property testing

Ability to produce visual inspection aids for production floor

Ability to assist Six Sigma projects by supplying technical support and any test data needed

Mathematical ability (add, subtract, multiply and divide), practical application of percentages and ratios

Ability to read instructions in the use and maintenance of inspection equipment

Computer skills necessary to document and communicate quality information

Ability to write and develop the appropriate support technology

Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Interpret a variety of technical instruction in mathematical form. Deal with several concrete variables.

Ability to walk, stand, band, and sit

Use of hands, arms and fingers regularly, grasping and holding

Use of eyes for visual quality determination

Ability to lift and carry 5-35 pounds regularly

Ability to climb, push, and pull occasionally.
