Job Title: Lab Technician

Location: Madison Heights, MI

Hours/Schedule: M-F, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

Compensation: $29.00 per hour

Type: Temporary

Duration: 1/6/2025 – 6/27/2025 (6-12 months expected)

We are seeking a Lab Technician who is a self-starter with a technical aptitude to support ongoing projects within the Aerospace division.

Responsibilities

Participate in testing Aerospace product batches from the Henkel manufacturing facility.

Collaborate closely with Application Engineering on customer lab testing and reporting.

Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Support standardization, harmonization, and administration of laboratory test methods.

Assist in customer lab demonstrations and training sessions.

Complete and manage technical lab work related to Aerospace surface technologies, particularly in Metal Pretreatment Processes such as cleaners, deoxidizers, and conversion coatings.

Work with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, commercial, field Application Engineering, and Product Development.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (Associates or Bachelors degree in a technical field preferred).

Basic laboratory skills, technical aptitude, and basic computer skills.

Strong teamwork, communication (both written and oral), and problem-solving abilities.

Ambition to learn and perform testing in a lab environment.
