Job Title: TIG Welder 1st Shift

Job Description

1st shift (6:00am – 3:20pm)

This is a TIG Welding position involving welding stainless steel and carbon steel seats for various industries. The role requires standing and welding T joints, 1 to 2 inches long, using Fillet, Flat Group, and Horizontal welds. There will also be minimal Short Arc transfer and MIG welding. Responsibilities include getting work order kits, following blueprint directions to TIG and MIG weld seats together in individual weld booths, and using a welding machine for both MIG and TIG. Approximately 65% of the day is spent TIG welding.

Work Environment

The work schedule is 1st shift, 6am-2:20pm, with potential opportunities from 5am-3:20pm. Mandated Saturday work may occur up to three consecutive weeks. The typical work week is about 50 hours, Monday to Friday, with potential for Saturday overtime. The facility is an older building with a dirty weld shop environment. Each welder has their own welding cell, but they are close to each other. Music is allowed, making the environment loud with music, grinding, and other metal work.
