Amentum is seeking a Lock Out Tag Out Process Technician to join our 1st Shift team in Waterloo, IA
This position is responsible for performing as a subject matter expert in auditing and creating Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO) procedures. Meets with the client to understand, set, and meet client goals. Audits and trains other LOTO technicians
Essential Functions:
Completing dispatched work orders based on priority while maintaining constant customer and management communication.
Audit and document facilities equipment and tests and apply proper LOTO procedures as required.
Develop and maintain written procedures, files, placards, and annual verifications for multiple buildings on an industrial campus.
Audit and adjust all records yearly.
Work with client teams to develop and maintain hard copies of all procedures to be maintained at direct location of tests.
Create and edit accurate and detailed LOTO documentation.
Maintain OSHA compliance through LOTO management.
Audit and document facilities equipment and tests.
Perform as LOTO Author for local facilities procedures.
Audit and adjust yearly reports.
Maintain database of all written procedures.
Archive past versions of manuals and procedures and ensure they are properly stored and maintained.
Deliver PowerPoint presentations to client detailing deliverables of LOTO program
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial setting or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have the ability to work in an aerial life or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
Experience documenting safety procedures such as Lock Out-Tag Out
Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abusetest.
This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.
This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
Physical/Special Requirements:
Requires the ability to regularly lift to 50 lbs.
Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.
Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.
Requires the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.
Requires the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.
Requires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.
Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.
Requires the use of a Company/Client approved utility knife.
Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despiteperiods of stress.
Special Requirements:
Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree in a skilled trade related to industrial maintenance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Demonstrated experience developing metrics, data mining, and databasemanagement.
Experience as a member of a Safety Committee in an industrial, manufacturing, or large research and development facility.
