Controls Engineer

The controls engineer will be responsible for controls projects from cradle to grave. Responsibilities include: – Interface with customers throughout the Quad Cities and surrounding areas to gather information on specifications and requirements for design and implementation of control systems – Assist with specification of parts and estimates for equipment – Perform PLC programming from scratch, instrumentation calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting – Perform onsite installation and startup for control systems within a 100-mile radius of the Quad Cities – Perform onsite customer support, including modifying and troubleshooting PLCs and HMIs to ensure proper functionality

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
REQUIRED: – Associates degree 2 years of experience with PLC programming using Allen Bradley – Ability to interface with customers in a fast-paced environment – Willingness to travel within a 100-mile radius of Davenport, IA to support customers PREFERRED: – Bachelors degree in engineering 5 years of experience with PLC programming using Allen Bradley – Previous experience at an integrator or in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment
