Job Title: Network Technician

Job Description

The company makes medical imaging software, specifically brain mapping software, sold to hospitals such as Johns Hopkins, UW-Madison,

Froedtert, and any hospital performing brain surgeries.

The role open currently is for a Product Support candidate.

· This person will help customers install and repair software and assist internal employees with IT issues related to network connectivity, internet access, security, and email/domain maintenance, including coordinating with ISPs and other IT vendors.

· The Product Support position involves being a liaison between internal product development staff and the external customer – the hospital and their employees.

· The Product Support position is responsible for communicating with the customer and troubleshooting any issues they may have with the software related to installation, upgrades, and other general support.

Daily Duties:

· Assist in requirements development, installation, testing, and support of medical software applications in large healthcare environments.

· Involved in capturing, investigating, and assisting in resolution of customer support issues. (Secondary) Familiarity with products in order to process customer cases and perform verification testing for product development.

Qualifications:

· The candidate must be familiar with healthcare imaging and IT (PCs, networking).

· Preferred experience in DICOM

· Ability to configure a home network including securing a router, setting up several PCs (wired and wireless), setting up an online printer or media NAS

· Needs to have a basic understanding of IT principles like IP addresses, use of firewalls; familiarity with basic configuration of operating systems (Windows required, Linux desired); familiarity with Office applications (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook) as tools for communication and documentation.
