JOB SUMMARY

The RN Supervisor – House works under the direction of the department managers to coordinate the twenty-four hour delivery of optimal patient care to meet the requirements of accrediting and regulatory agencies. This individual will coordinate patient services between various areas of the hospital and adjust nursing staffing levels based on identified patient needs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Diploma or degree in nursing.

Preferred/Optional: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: Three years’ experience in medical or nursing related field. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred/Optional: Management or supervisor experience.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required:

Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within one month of employment.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six months of employment.

Preferred/Optional:

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification at hire..
