Job Description

Position: Production Document Controller – Minnetonka MN – FTE – Non-Remote

(100% in Office), Work shift is 6:30AM to 3:00PM, M-F, 40 hour work week.

Summary:

The Production Document Controller directly supports the Lead Production Document Controller in maintaining quality documentation standards and tracking engineering deliverables for the Production and Quality engineering teams. Typical tasks include reviewing internal documentation to verify it meets quality requirements, publishing internal documents, sending and receiving documentation (client and equipment supplier) per specifications in a timely manner, and maintaining databases recording these actions. These tasks are time sensitive, involve multiple steps, and cover multiple projects; the ideal candidate must be detail-oriented and organized, and possess strong interpersonal and relationship building skills that are needed to create and maintain good rapport with engineers and Veolia clients.

Nature & Scope – Principal Areas of Responsibility:

Read and have basic understanding of engineering drawings, datasheets, specifications

Provide quality checks for control documents (engineering drawings, datasheets, specifications)

Electronically review, stamp, and publish documents into AODocs and SAP

Package, send, and track deliverables to/from client, vendor, or production team

Understand and comply with ISO standards

Process incoming As-Shipped vendor drawings

Create production folder views, internal handoff sheets, maintain up to date project data within production folders

Assist mfg./quality employees with production folder issues

Run COOIS (Production Order Information System) report in SAP and maintain Release to Mfg. reports for MTKA & GLPH facilities (to support as backup)

Fulfill occasional Doc Control print requests for small projects (print/assemble/pack/take to shipping dept.)

Assist in creating Workflows to request sales order manuals, and then print/assemble/pack/take manuals to shipping dept.

Assist in creating small product manuals; print and/or file transfer to client (these are manuals that must ship with the equipment – Doc Control only adds client info to front cover and adds the drawings used to build and the control documents, if any)

Upon project completion, submit drawings to engineering, close-out and archive production folders

Other duties assigned by Document Control Leader and Production Lead as required depending on team needs and workload, changes in tools and project execution strategy, scope and nature of projects

Qualifications

Qualifications/Education:

College degree preferred, although will accept related work experience, with 3 years experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, or architectural environment

Work background in Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, or Design/Build related fields helpful

Computer literacy – Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe, SharePoint, FTP sites, SAP, Google Workspace

Able to quickly change direction as deadlines change and adjust to urgent requests, balance workload with little supervision, deliver assignments on time, and carefully follow engineering procedures for documentation management

Able to lift/carry maximum of 50lbs
