Job Title: Lamination Operator
Job Description
The Lamination Operator is responsible for laminating pressure sensitive adhesives to materials such as foam, sponge, rubber, and plastics. You will be expected to review the design specifications and set up the machine to follow the design within the parameters required by the job and material. You will be responsible for loading product into the machine and performing setup. You must control the pressure onto the material and thread it through. A new setup will be required with each job.
Other duties that could be assigned:
– Set up and monitor the machine process to assure quality product
– Ensure productivity goals are met by monitoring run speeds, setup times, and coordination of support departments
– Troubleshoot and correct problems
– Communicate with other departments for resolution of mechanical problems, reporting of defective material, coordination of job preparations, changeovers, and daily shift information
– Provide accurate and timely production reporting
– Follow safety standards and maintain a safe work environment
– Occasional forklift operation on both gas and electrical
– Assist in other areas as needed
