Education Coordinator

Impact lives as an Education Coordinator with Northway Academy! Whether you are a certified teacher, in school to become a teacher or have a passion for teaching we offer rewarding, meaningful work for you to build upon your knowledge and skills. The Education Coordinator will work under the direction of the Lead Education Coordinator to conduct assessments, supplement curriculum, collaborate with school personnel, and train team members to support the individuals we serve. Plus have the opportunity to work with school personnel and families to bridge the academic gap for those children whom are homeschooled or not in school full-time.

What Youll Be Doing as an Education Coordinator:

Work closely with the children, staff, school personnel and families to collaborate, observe, identify, and analyze educational coursework for understanding.

Prepare daily academic coursework for school aged children.

Administer and analyze grade level assessments to help properly bridge the academic gap and supplement academic tasks.

Collaborate with school district personnel or homeschooling families to help prepare or obtain curriculum.

Attend IEP meetings.

Help coordinate group educational opportunities to increase skills and maintain grade level progress.

Train team members on the principles of how academics and behavior analysis work together to promote individual success.

Conduct trainings for caregivers to teach the skills necessary for their child’s success.

Collaborate with other team members to translate the respective treatment plan into measurable steps and benchmarks to evaluate and monitor.

What We Need You to Bring:

Education and Experience:

Teaching certification preferred

Equivalent education/work experience will be considered.

Post high school coursework toward a career in an educational setting preferred

Equivalent work experience will be considered.

Experience in a school setting preferred.

Minimum one year experience working with special populations.

Personal Skills:

Skilled in written and oral communications and service development.

An ability to establish rapport easily and build positive relationships with individuals and coworkers alike.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of behavior principles, program development and monitoring techniques.

Strong customer service orientation and patience.

A collaborative approach. Creative and effective abilities in employee training.

Must be in good standing with Sevita.
