The Senior Campaign Analyst will be part of the Marketing and Customer Operations Delivery team, which is quickly becoming the Center of Excellence for Marketing Communications Execution. This role will support Marketers and other internal partners in reviewing campaign objectives and data requirements to align with campaign strategy, determine the proper design solution to meet requirements utilizing best practices, review design and execution plans with partners, apply campaign requirements to segment data, execute campaign development strategies utilizing the appropriate modality (email, direct mail, SMS, Social Media, etc) and gather data analytics for campaign effectiveness. The ideal candidate will be curious and open to continual learning, exhibit great communication and collaboration skills, and have a passion for utilizing data to improve customer experiences using technology.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and execute campaign list pulls for major direct marketing efforts (email, direct mail, SMS text, Social Media, etc.) as well as smaller, trigger-based programs that are consistent with marketing strategy, campaign objectives and best practices

This individual will use their knowledge of the customer and prospect data to assist in providing direction on targeting strategies and campaign executions designed to drive incremental sales and increase customer retention

Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements

Extract and manipulate data by performing database queries that support marketing and sales efforts

Provide actionable insight by giving explanation and interpretation of data to support dept and business unit needs

Maintain a strategic relationship with business partners to develop deeper understanding of their business and goals, and suggest new strategies

Communicate and translate results derived from the database into meaningful charts and tables and key takeaways that are easily understood and valued by internal and external clients

Serve as key resource for understanding available data

Present results and possible areas for improvement

Act as liaison with internal partners (Creative, Marketing, Sales, Legal / Regulatory, Data & Analytics, etc.) to build and execute effective campaigns

Required Qualifications:

2 years of experience identifying solutions and interpreting data into actionable information

2 years of experience in marketing analysis with a solid business foundation, especially in campaign generation and reporting of marketing data

2 years of experience managing and prioritizing several deliverables

1 years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or campaign management tools such as Unica, Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Journey Optimizer

Proficiency with Microsoft Access or Excel (creating pivot tables and VLOOKUPs in Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

Previous use of SQL language to query data in relational databases

Previous experience working with project management tools and systems (Workfront)

Prior experience working with transactional data and direct marketing

Soft Skills:

Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize deliverables

Proven organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity

Excellent communication and organizational skills, including experience developing and presenting business conclusions based on data analysis

High levels of initiative, drive and self-motivation

Exceptional attention to detail

Maintain positive relationships with cross-functional team members, establish trust and credibility

Demonstrate effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
