Description:
Looking for candidates who have previous experience in Mitigation and Restoration. Someone who has worked as a mitigation tech or content tech would be ideal. Also open to candidates who do not have the experience but have certifications from IICRC.
Mitigation Technician is the first part of the process. Generally, they are getting urgent calls regarding projects. While at the projects, candidates will assess damages, stop damage continuation, and begin immediate mitigation efforts. This role is very important to get the property set up for the next stages. To do so, this might include lifting carpet from a flooded basement or cutting drywall to avoid mold growth, moving furniture, or setting up drying equipment to get the property to a state ready for reconstruction.
Job Responsibilities:
• Handling tasks related to water and fire mitigation.
• Completing water extraction, drying, and dehumidification processes
• Use moisture meters and other equipment.
• Demolition: cutting drywall, removing fixtures, belongings, furniture, cabinetry
• Site safety and preparation are crucial to daily activities.
• Strong attention to detail is a must-have.
Schedule:
• 1st shift and candidates must be comfortable with some on-call work as well.
• These teams are required to respond to emergencies and if you are on call when one comes up, you will be heading into work.
• This would involve some nights and weekends on-call.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift 60 lbs.
• Ability to work in various environments indoors, outdoors, inclement weather, smoke, or other hazards of a demolition or remodeling environment.
• Reliability and strong work ethic
• The position includes on-call evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in Restoration/water mitigation OR if they have any of the IICRC certifications.
