Staff Nurse (RN) – PICC/ IV Team

SUMMARY:
We are currently seeking aNurse Staffto join our PICC/ IV Team.

This position is a0.7 FTE (7 shifts/ pay period), 8-hour shifts, Evenings, Every Other Weekend.

Evenings mainly covers 3PM-11Pm but may also include 11AM-7:30 PM

Purpose of this position: Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:

Protecting, promoting and optimizing health
Preventing illness and injury
Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others, and
Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care//
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:

o Protecting, promoting, and optimizing health

o Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
o Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
o Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care

Minimum Qualifications:

Proficient in venous access device placement in adults and pediatric patients
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota

Preferred Qualifications:

Ultrasound guided IV training
PICC line training
Certification in area of clinical specialty
BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
